Old school rapper Rob Base solidified his status as a novelty act - and not even close to the most entertaining of the day in that arena - by sandwiching his two mega-hits, "Joy and Pain" and "It Takes Two," with annoyingly repeated hype-ups (you know the standard fare, "Where my ladies at," "Throw your hands in the air," blah, blah, blah) and other assorted nonsense over a long 25 minutes.
